Clayton, KB0WZI, and James, KB0NHX, made a trip to the K0NXA Digi site in South Springfield last Friday and Clayton found a few things that we think have gotten us rolling!
First, the receive audio is controlled by the volume pot on the radio. It was turned down too low. In order to adjust it, we enabled the ability to log into the WX 3-in-1 Plus 2.0 controller. The GUI has a transmit and receive audio adjustment procedure so we went through that with a communications service monitor to ensure proper packet deviation. Within minutes we were seeing many stations populate the log. The GUI offers up many diagnostic and monitoring capabilities that we are going to look into making available for users and interested folks.
The site is also repeating local APRS packets by radio now as well and not just gating them to the Internet.
We also found that we were not authenticated with APRS-IS and were using the default server in Poland. We changed it to the North American server and are now logged in and authenticated with APRS-IS and properly gating packets to the Internet - APRS.fi
Some other housekeeping items, such as the proper symbol on the map, and other minor things were addressed.

Crane 442.150 Offline
