As of today the 442.150 repeater in Crane has been taken off line. The antenna system SWR was near 8 to 1!
There is a problem at the connector and I unfortunately suspect there is water in the line. The connector is not a standard connector that can be removed so it'll have to be cut off to confirm. The good news is the antenna itself appears to be good.
There is another run of feedline on the tower that tests good that is currently abandoned and I am hoping we can move our antenna over to it.
We are working with a climber to see what kind of cost it will be if we simply move the antenna from one feedline to another, install a new jumper and have it weatherproofed.
In the mean time, the 442.425 will act as the main hub for the SMLRS.
