On December 23, 2016, Warren Reynolds, KD0ELT, finished the install of the DB-224 E antenna and the DB-436 link antenna at the Warsaw Missouri State Water Patrol tower site. Mounted at the very top of the tower, the repeater exhibited excellent range. The repeater started out as a Daniels’ MT-4 repeater with a Motorola MSR-2000 100-W amplifier mounted inside the site’s wooden shed. Later, when a 700 MHz MoSwin site was added, the equipment was moved into the metal outdoor cabinet.
On November 29, 2022, KM0HP, in conjunction with the Nixa ARC, upgraded the repeater to an analog and P25 digital capable Motorola Quantar with 125-W output power. In addition, a TX RX duplexer replaced the Sinclair Q2330E duplexer. To make this upgrade possible, a new stand alone outdoor cabinet had to be installed. The new cabinet, retired from service at an old Microwave tower site, came equipped with a 48vdc powered HVAC unit and foam insulation! This move to another cabinet also afforded the install of a separate, 100Ah 48VDC power plant for backup power. The repeater itself is equipped with a 48vdc power supply, and a 48vdc to 12vdc convertor powers the rest of the 12vdc equipment in the cabinet.
In January 2025, the KM0HP leadership donated the repeater site and equipment to the Nixa Amateur Radio Club to own and maintain as part of the SMLRS.
