On February 12, 2013, A&W Communications finished up the coax and antenna installation in the snow and the third repeater on the SMLRS came online!  This repeater was sponsored by Mulebarn, the Missouri Highway Patrol amateur radio club under the callsign of KM0HP.  Originally a GE Master III, the repeater was in use for 11 years.  The amplifier was replaced 3 times during that time period and a lightening strike that took out the System Control module was the final straw.  On May 24, 2022, the repeater was replaced with a Motorola MSF-5000.  The improved front end was so good that we were able to remove the pre-amp and the additional bandpass filter from the receive line.

Just about 2 years later in January 2024, the MSF-5000 failed and was upgraded to a Motorola Quantar “low split” 125-W repeater capable of both analog and P25 digital operations. 

In January 2025, the KM0HP leadership donated the repeater site and equipment to the Nixa Amateur Radio Club to own and maintain as part of the SMLRS.
